To avoid bias, we don’t accept paid offers to review devices or free products in exchange for glowing reviews. We buy the devices we test with our own money to be free to tell it exactly as it is and to experience the full customer journey the way you would.

We test all our air purifiers following the same process to confidently compare performance data across different brands and models. We record all our experiments on video so you can see exactly how each device performed across all performance tests.
We don’t ignore the long-term costs.
You should use your air purifier every day for as long as you need it, and that costs money. That is why we don’t just focus on upfront costs. Instead, we collect first-hand data on the long-term costs associated with replacing filters and the energy consumption that you can expect.
We will tell you when a product sucks.
We are truly free to say exactly what we think — especially if a device fails to perform. We are an independent publication that doesn’t accept money in exchange for positive reviews. We don’t run ads, so we don’t worry about advertisers being annoyed.
