1. Best Prime Day Deal: Winix 5500-2 (49% off)

The 5500-2 from Winix is a big favorite of mine in 2024, and it’s on sale!

Read our full review

Winix has been producing air purifiers for decades, and the latest 5500-2 shows what they are capable of. The 5500-2 has great performance, separate filters (you can clean and replace the pre-filter, activated carbon filter and HEPA filter separately), washable carbon filters, HEPA H13, auto mode and a removable pre-filter for easy maintenance.

At just over $126, this is an incredible price for this device, which I said had good value at its RRP of $249.99. Thanks to its separate carbon and particle filters, it is a great option for those who have issues with odors and gases.

One thing I love about Winix is that they include a year’s worth of filters in the box, so you don’t need to think about putting more money into filters until your second year. Finally, Winix has some of the cheapest OEM filters, and as their products have been out a long time, there are tons of cheaper generic filters available.

2. Levoit EverestAir (34% off)

This high-performing, high-end air purifier normally costs $499.99, but with this Prime Deal, the price drops to $332.48.

Read our full review

Levoit is known for affordable air purifiers that offer good value without breaking the bank. However, EverestAir is at the top of Levoit’s line — and finding it for less than $350 is unheard of!

With a CADR of 360 CFM, this device is one of the best-performing air purifiers we have tested. It can move a lot of air FAST and look good while it does its job, which is not something one can say about most air purifiers. The EverestAir is a luxury product, with an iPhone-like display that also shows air quality information in real-time thanks to the onboard air quality sensor.

The EverestAir comes with a bonded particle + pelleted activated carbon filter (not my favorite, as I prefer to have separate filters), but it does come with a removable pre-filter for easy cleaning. It also has app support and offers you the ability to adjust the vent angles, which is something unique to this model.

Shark HP102 Coffee Table

The HP102PET is the pet version of the HP102 we tested last year and comes with additional activated carbon to deal with unwanted odors associated with pets in the home.

This air purifier from Shark comes with an onboard air quality sensor (and an auto-mode but no app support) and NanoSeal™ technology that supercharges the HEPA filter. With a dust CADR of 91, this is a good option for those looking for an air purifier for a small room no bigger than 200 sq. ft.

4. Levoit Core 300 (20% off)

You can get this older but trusted air purifier from Levoit now at the great price of $79.98.

Read our full review

While I would still recommend that most people try to spend a little more and get the Levoit Vital 200S (see below), if you can’t, you will be happy with the performance-to-price ratio you’ll get with the Levoit Core 300.

The Core 300 doesn’t come with auto-mode or app support, but it is one of the bestselling air purifiers of the past five years due to its quiet running and powerful performance compared to its small size.

Be aware that this device is aimed at smaller rooms with a max size of 200 sq. ft. compared to the other devices on this list, but for less than $80, you get a lot of air purifiers for every dollar spent. Another pro: as this is a device that has been very popular for around five years, there are A LOT of generic filter options that keep running costs low.

5. Levoit Vital 200S (16% off)

Our top pick for the year is on deal, and you don’t want to miss it.

Read our full review

While not the biggest discount, the Levoit Vital 200S was one of my favorite air purifiers for 2024 and at just over $150 is a steal. It has a great performance ratio even at its $189.99 RRP and comes with a removable pre-filter, app support, auto mode and fair long-term running costs.

The only downside is the bonded filter, which means you need to replace both the particle AND the activated carbon filters when the carbon runs out, even if the particle filter is still usable. Another thing I don’t particularly like about this device is that Levoit was forced to remove the term ‘HEPA’ from its marketing after Dyson complained to the BBB — not a good look for Levoit.

If the Levoit Vital 200S has tempted you, this Amazon Prime Day price should encourage you to order it today. If you want more about this device, click the image above to watch my full review.

5. Best Prime Day Deal in the UK: Coway Airmega 150 (27% off)

You can get this trendy air purifier from Coway for less than £130!

Coway Airmega 150 Corner Room

Read our review

The Coway 150 comes with built-in air quality sensors, a color-coded air quality indicator and high-quality filters, as we can expect from a brand like Coway. Another cool thing about this unit is that it is available in three colors: green, pink and white.

When it comes to the filters, the 150 comes with three layers of filtration: a removable pre-filter (great for cleaning it), a deodorization filter (impregnated carbon fabric) and Coway’s original Green True HEPA™ filter (to capture particles). I would much rather see pelletized activated carbon in the mix, but unless you are looking for an air purifier to deal with VOCs and smells, you should be okay with the Airmega 150.

Even though its air cleaning performance is not as powerful as that of the Smart Air Sqair (also on deal right now, see below), the Coway 150 is a good device for those looking to clean the air in rooms smaller than 200 sq. ft. with a unit that looks good and has an onboard sensor that makes auto-mode possible.

6. Another good UK deal: WINIX A332 (27% off)

You can buy this excellent small air purifier from Winix for £64.99.

Winix A231 Side table

Read our review

The WINIX A332 is the Amazon-exclusive edition of the Winix Zero Compact, which in turn is the European name under which you will find the Winix A230/A231 that we reviewed at the beginning of 2024. A little confusing, I know. The main difference I can find with the WINIX A332 is that it comes in white, which looks pretty sleek.

When testing the U.S. version of this little air purifier, I was impressed by how powerful it is. Its particle removal speed was on par with larger devices, thanks to its combination of a top-quality True HEPA filter with activated carbon and an efficient fan. The A332 comes with an on-board air quality sensor, which powers the AQI light indicators at the top of the device and the possibility of running the unit on auto-mode. That said, the A332 doesn’t come with a smartphone app or smart speaker connectivity.

One last point: as with all WINIX devices, the A332 comes with PlasmaWave ionizer technology, which allows you to get more air cleaning performance when needed but can also be disabled if you don’t like the idea of having an ionizer running in your room.

7. The best unofficial deal: AirFanta 3Pro (5% off)

This Prime Day, you can buy this outstanding PC fan-powered air purifier for $142.49.

Read our review

Now, this is not technically an Amazon Prime Day deal, but AirFanta has just announced that for the next two days, you can buy all their products with a 5% discount:

The 3Pro’s smart CR box-inspired design combines a plastic base with four low-resistance HEPA H11 filters at each side and an array with four powerful PC fans on top.

I was blown away by the results of our air cleaning performance test: this little box costs less than $150 and it still managed to clear all PM1 particles from the air in our 728 cubic ft. test room in 14 minutes. This means that the 3Pro outperformed air purifiers that cost way more.

The cherry on top? The AirFanta 3Pro is the only air purifier with a CADR north of 400 you can fit inside a suitcase or backpack to bring with you wherever you go.

I’d argue that the price of $150 is already a steal, but being able to get it for $142.49 makes the 3Pro even more attractive.

Frequently asked questions about Amazon Prime Day deals

The best explanation for Amazon Day is Amazon’s alternative to Black Friday. Amazon first launched Prime Day in the summer of 2015, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the company. Since day one, Prime Day has encouraged other retailers to use the time to release their own deals, so it is a good time to find good prices for big purchases. Worth the wait if you’re planning to buy something expensive!

Many products are sold during Prime Day, from air purifiers to other household devices. That’s why we recommend using this time to make big purchases that you had planned to do already. Many Amazon products, like the Kindle, are found at historically low prices too.

The short answer: yes.

BUT if you are not a member and you have found a great deal, then you don’t need to miss it: Just grab the 30-day free trial so you can buy all the deals, and then go to the subscriptions page to cancel the Prime membership afterwards if you know you won’t need the benefits of Amazon Prime outside of Prime Day.

It started at 03:00 EDT, Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, and runs for 48 hours.

I love Amazon, but many items are not great, so try to avoid blind searches and look at those specific brands and products you already know about to check if the price has changed.

There is no point in saving a load of money on one of the air purifier deals above just to spend another $200 on stuff you don’t need or a product that doesn’t live up to expectations.

Also, be aware that deals run out, so try to purchase before this happens.
